Jim entered the real estate business in 1973 after graduating from the University of Arkansas, obtained the appraisal MAI designation in 1980, and moved into commercial real estate brokerage. His success in the industry is directly related to his understanding of real estate investments obtained from his appraisal background. By 1990, he had formed his own commercial real estate company, serving Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Jim is a founding Partner of Irwin Saviers Ballard, LLC. He has over 36 years of real estate investment, brokerage, development, consulting, leasing, and appraisal experience.
Jim represents national, regional and local clients in acquisitions, dispositions, property evaluations and restructuring of assets, focusing primarily on investment related real estate transactions. Jim has been involved in over $475 million in brokerage transactions. His diverse experience encompasses professional buildings, multi-family complexes, retail centers, industrial properties and land transactions throughout Arkansas and the southeast United States. Jim holds the MAI and CRE designations.
